Pound has a strong background in television.

CHARLOTTE, N. Adidas Running Ultra Boost Collegiate Royal/Air Force Blauw/Collegiate Marine Schoenen Heren/Dames .C. -- Panthers Pro Bowl defensive end Greg Hardy will spend Tuesday night in jail after being arrested on misdemeanour charges of assault on a female and communicating threats. Mecklenburg County Sheriffs Office Spokeswoman Julia Rush said in an email to The Associated Press Hardy will spend the night in Mecklenburg County jail and will have a court appearance Wednesday morning in Charlotte. Hardy turned himself in Tuesday and was transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriffs Office where he was booked. He appeared before the magistrate where he was not issued bond. It is normal procedure for suspects in domestic violence cases to be denied bond as part of a 24-hour cooling off period. The Panthers said in a statement, "We are very disappointed to learn of the allegations involving Greg and are concerned for all parties as we continue to investigate." Hardys agent Drew Rosenhaus declined comment to The Associated Press. Hardy signed the teams franchise tag tender in March and will make $13.116 million this season if he doesnt sign an extension before July 15. The 25-year-old Hardy has 26 sacks over the past two seasons with the Panthers, including a franchise-tying 15 in 2013. According to the police report, patrol officers responded to a domestic violence assault call for service at 4:18 a.m. Tuesday in Charlotte. The report states that upon arrival officers spoke to the victim, a 24-year-old white female, who advised that she had been physically assaulted and threatened by Hardy. The victim also stated that she and Hardy had been in a relationship since September 2013. The report also states the victim suffered bruises and scratches, but refused treatment. After talking with the woman, police obtained warrants to arrest Hardy. The Panthers recently agreed to give Hardy a $1.3 million advance on his franchise tag if he attends the teams voluntary off-season workouts. Hardy has been a flamboyant personality since joining the Panthers and regularly refers to himself as the "Kraken," after a mythical sea creature. A motorcycle accident before his second season with the team left Hardy with severe skin burns and prevented him from participating in the teams training camp, although he still made it back for the 2011 season. He has long been one of the outspoken players in the locker room, predicting a late-season win against Atlanta in 2012. He has also been one of the most productive the past two seasons, earning him the franchise tag tender even though the Panthers are strapped under the salary cap. By keeping Hardy, the Panthers were forced to let other free agents walk, including safety Mike Mitchell, cornerback Captain Munnerlyn and wide receivers Brandon LaFell, Ted Ginn Jr. and Domenik Hixon. The team also released wide receiver Steve Smith. Grijs Adidas Campus 80s Trainers Heren/Dames . -- UFC president Dana White has dismissed Georges St-Pierres concerns about drug testing, calling them ridiculous and "a little kooky. Yeezy Boost 350 Kopen . The Prince George Cougars and Regina Pats have both entered agreements to transfer ownership, the WHL said Wednesday in a statement. LONDON -- After years on the outside looking in, Montreal lawyer Dick Pound is back with a new role in the International Olympic Committee. In the latest reshuffle by new IOC President Thomas Bach, the Canadian was handed a key front-line position Friday in Olympic broadcasting. Pound is the new chairman of the board of Olympic Broadcasting Services, which serves as the host broadcaster for all Olympics. Created by the IOC in 2001, OBS provides a global feed of every sport from every venue. Pound replaces Hein Verbruggen, the former Dutch IOC member and ex-president of international cycling federation UCI. Pound and Verbruggen were bitter rivals who feuded over cyclings doping problems. Pound has a strong background in television. As head of the IOCs TV rights negotiations from 1983-2001, he brokered several lucrative television rights deals with American networks. The 73-year-old Pound is a former IOC vice-president and ex-head of the World Anti-Doping Agency. He ran unsuccessfully for IOC president in 2001. Pound resigned as chairman of the IOC marketing commission and as TV rights negotiator after losing to Jacques Rogge in the presidential vote. He remained out of the IOCs inner circle during Rogges 12-year term, but has sought to climb back into the higher levels since Bachs election in September. Pound ran for the policy-making exxecutive board in September and February but fell short. Adidas Flyknit ZX 750 Dames Mint/Zilver Schoenen. Fridays appointment shows that Bach wants to have Pound in the fold. Longtime Olympic TV executive Manolo Romero of Spain will serve as vice chairman of OBS. Other OBS board members include IOC members Juan Antonio Samaranch Jr. of Spain and Gerardo Werthein of Argentina. IOC administrators Christophe De Kepper, Gilbert Felli, Timo Lumme and Lana Haddad are also on the board. Pound, an IOC member since 1978, headed WADA from 1999-2008 and served as an IOC vice-president from 1987-1991 and 1996-2000. There is a twist of irony in the selection of Pound to succeed Verbruggen. As WADA chief, Pound sharply criticized Verbruggen and the UCI for cyclings record on doping, including the treatment of Lance Armstrong. Verbruggen sued Pound for defamation, but the dispute was eventually settled out of court. Pounds elevation to the OBS job is the latest move by Bach to put his own stamp on the IOC. On Tuesday, the German made appointments to the marketing, finance, anti-doping and other IOC commissions. Separately Friday, Bach announced appointments to the foundation board of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland. The members are IOC Vice-President Yu Zaiqing of China, executive board member Ugur Erdener of Turkey and honorary member Kipchoge Keino of Kenya. Cheap Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Cheap Jerseys Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China Wholesale Jerseys ' ' '
