The Reason for Android Is Starting or Optimizing Issue

During rebooting or restarting your Android device, several things may go wrong. If there was a problem in the restarting or updating process, then you may see the error message. Another reason could be the installation of a new app followed by a reboot of Android. This causes the device to read all the already existing apps on your mobile, and then you see the error message. The error depends on the amount of apps you have installed on the device before they finally get read by the device.

The error mostly occurs in Android 5.0 and is pretty rare above the Lollipop version. But it does cause the device to get stuck on the screen for hours. Steps are provided below for you to fix the situation.

Fix 1: Remove the SD Card from The Android

If you have installed some apps on your SD card then removing it will help to fix the issue. If that is the case, then this is the quickest and most straightforward solution for the problem. It boosts the optimization process and allows the device to complete the process.

Once the process is completed, you can put back the SD card. Then you should move the apps installed to the phone's memory.

Fix 2: Clear the Cache Partition

Wiping the cache partition is one of the surest ways to fix the issue and here is how you can clean the cache partition.

  1. Switch off the device and remove it from charging, if it is charging.
  2. Press the Volume Down and Power button for 3-5 seconds.
  3. A boot menu pop-up will appear. Choose the “Recovery” option. (You can scroll through the Volume Down button and select through Volume Up button.)
  4. On No Command screen, hold down the Power button and press the Volume Up button once to bring Menu.
  5. Choose Wipe Cache Partition.
  6. Choose Reboot System Now.

Let the reboot process to complete, and you are good to go.

Fix 3: Reset Factory Data Settings

You can reset your factory data settings to fix the issue. This step, however, will wipe all your data and is only recommended if you have backed up the data from your device.

To reset the data, follow to 4th step from Step 2 and then:

  1. Select Factory Reset.
  2. Let the reset process be.
  3. Once the process gets completed, choose Reboot System Now.

Wait for a few minutes, and once the device reboot, you will be able to see the set-up screen.

You can also remove the charger from the device when it restarts. You should always keep the apps and device updated to avoid the issue.
