Why practical knowledge is more important than theoretical knowledge?

Whatever you learn for a long time. Practical knowledge plays more constructive role than theoretical knowledge. This is not the case. Let's read out them.

Education is important and should be acquired by every person to expand knowledge and be skillful. It can build up an entire generation of responsible individuals who can take in good teachings and can convey it to others. It educates us regarding different things and brings in a huge array of career options for us which one could not pick if remain uneducated. Education could be conveyed in a theoretical approach or in a practical way. However out of these two methods, practical knowledge is more advantageous and important for the betterment of student.

While you are reading something and trying to learn by heart it, you are likely to forget it before long. This does not imply with practical learning. A person, when learning something by an experiment, puts forward extra attention to that specific constant. He can directly apply the information learnt when performing the experiment. All these things make sure the information remains in long-standing memory.

Could you imagine somebody teaching you how to swim or drive a vehicle, surrounded in four walls of a class? It is not possible! You are required to get into the water to learn how to swim and you must step in your car on the road to become skilled at driving. A few subjects are based on skills and require a practical application. Theoretical understanding of skill-based subjects should be support by practice. Subjects such as teaching and engineering are skill-based. These subjects require a practical knowledge more than theoretical knowledge. Practical work involves experiments in the lab, educational trips, projects, home assignments and so on. The benefits of practical learning are matchless. Acquiring theoretical knowledge has no importance until students can implement it for practical use. Once you do something with your hands you memorize better.

Practical application encourages experimental learning.

Practical work promotes self-learning.

Practical performance familiarizes students with methods and equipment that would be essential to use.

Practice directs to precision.

You cannot turn into an expert at once; practice is what offers you the required expertise.

Practical work is a positive transformation from boring lecture method.

Practical work complements theoretical application.

Practical tasks are mostly performed in groups. Group work allows inculcating social values like sharing, collaboration, team spirit, sympathy etc.

Practical work increases the confidence of learners.

Practical education surely has a deep influence on students. Here I am writing up some reasons that compel you to stress more on practical learning more than theoretical.

It promotes innovation 

You cannot discover a better way to become an artist until you draw a picture. This judgment relates to the scientific inventions too. Even the theoretical experts require framework or model to do research. After getting a comprehensive knowledge of a theory, it is feasible to explore further possibilities linked to a specific problem, which creates the foundation of the innovation. 

Practical Education develops a Deeper Impact

Practical education is a lot more interactive than theoretical. It does not entail only teaching regardless of either the student is capable to comprehend the concepts or not. Theoretical education generally employs educator who teach in a simple way or books that may or may not contain interactive exercises. While in practical works, efforts from students are not only welcomed but taken as a must have. Interactive sitting, experiments, interactive sessions, are main features of practical education which make sure the participation of students, allowing them to learn and understand. Learning is the primary function of education and to perk up the leaning level, extra importance must be given to practical education more than theoretical.

Develops skills

Training is meant to enhance your skill which is unable to attain by just theoretical application. Theory can offer one with loads of knowledge and expertise although it can never convey those types of results and better skills that you can have from practical learning. Yet again, reading a lesson of engineering would not help but doing experiments will enhance your engineering expertise.

Knowledge stays in our minds

When we are revising a chapter for a test, our brain is likely to memorize it for a short time and result in ruining the main purpose as our brain forgets easily. But when doing it practically, may it be an experiments, real life project or study trips, the knowledge and experience remains in our mind for so long.

It is more interesting

Educational tours, live projects, experiments, seize your interest more than books, assignments and lectures because they are a lot more interesting and engaging than reading your normal bookish material.
