You might have noticed that when you visit any website that requires your login information, it prompts you to save the same on your Mac. The permission to save the info appears only once when you log in for the first time. However, even if you ignored the same for the first time, you can manually enter the details and save as autofill. At least, you'll finally be able to take off a load of remembering the login info.

All of you might visit various websites on a daily basis like email, social networking, shopping websites, etc. Therefore, you end up creating different accounts for all these websites. Well, Safari can make the job easier for you by saving the login info so that you never have to fill up the same each time you visit a website.

Are you interested to know more about the same and ready to take off the load? Below mentioned are the instructions to use Safari autofill to save the login information. Wait no more, and get started!

How to Add Login Information Using Safari on Mac?

The steps to manually add the login information using Safari on your Mac are:

  1. Launch 'Safari' on your Mac from the Dock.
  2. Click on the 'Safari' tab on top of the screen.
  3. A drop-down menu will open. Click on the 'Preferences' option.
  4. A new settings window will open on the screen. Select the 'Passwords' tab at the top of the window.
  5. The next window will prompt you to enter the passcode of your Mac.
  6. A list of websites that have already saved the passwords will appear. Click on the 'Add' button at the bottom to manually add new websites.
  7. Enter the website name or URL in the pop-up window. Type the password for the same and click on the 'Add Password' option.

Now, whenever you visit a website whose login info is saved, it'll autofill the same.

It is essential to note that all the passwords for various websites are stored in the Keychain. Not only this, but these passwords sync across devices if you're logged in with the same Apple account for other Apple devices.

In case you change the password for one of the websites, you'll no longer have access to login with the autofill feature. Thus, you'll have to update the password for the same.

Pretty easy, isn't it? The idea of using the autofill feature is not only good for quick logins, but it'll make your life easier and a little stress-free.
