Crazy Air Jordan 1 Pairs 'Banned' and 'Chicago' Colorways

The Air Jordans 2017 debuted in 1985 as the first signature sneaker developed by Nike for Michael Jordan. The Peter Moore designed performance basketball sneaker featured a simple Nike Dunk inspired design that incorporated the Nike Swoosh and the Jordan Wings logo and featured Nike Air. The black and red colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High was famously banned by the NBA for not adhering to the dress code. The Air Jordan 1 High was first retroed in 1994 and has seen hundreds of retro releases since.Rumors have long circulated about an Air Jordan 6 “Gatorade” releasing this fall tied to Michael Jordan’s endorsement of the drink. Newly leaked info suggests that the Air Jordan 6 won’t be the only shoe using that theme in the future, though. While there is no confirmation that these sneakers are related to the aforementioned Jordan 6, the never-before-seen “G8RD” designation seems like a clear reference to it.The split look down the front has been seen elsewhere on the Air Jordan 1 recently.
Cheap Air Jordan Shoes has combined two of the most popular Air Jordan 1 colorways on a new sample version of the sneaker. The “Homage to Home” Jordan 1 references Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls colors by combining the black/red “Banned” look with the white/black/red “Chicago” one.popping up via the friends and family-exclusive Air Jordan 1 Quai 54. The treatment is also reminiscent of that seen on the 2006 “Scarface” Air Force 1.This sneaker is strictly a sample, and there is no indication that it will see a retail release.Designed by Peter Moore, the Jordan 1 originally released from 1985 to 1986. Quite a few colorways of the model were produced, as well as a few different variations. Following its initial run in the 80s, the Jordan 1 jumpstarted the retro era in 1994, following Jordan’s retirement from basketball. The shoe returned again in 2001, including the introduction of a Jumpman branded mid-top. It wasn’t until 2008 that Jordan Brand started re-releasing the Jordan 1 with its original high cut.

That being said, first year NBA commissioner, David Stern “threw them out of the game.” Legend has it that MJ continued wearing the pair anyway, while Nike footed the bill.
